Exhaustion

I've been back at work now for about a week and am exhausted. Teaching is a very tiring but rewarding job. I need to get more sleep, exercise regularly, and eat better so that I can have enough energy to get me through the day. I could also drink more water (I heard that helps).

What do you do to give yourself energy?
I am open to suggestions.

Hi Shelly! I've enjoyed seeing your posts! You are doing great with your new years resolution. I need to post more often so that I can write more than just what happened in our lives.

I'm no expert at answering this question, but I did want to tell you about the workout dvd I got. It's Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and what I LOVE about it is that it is only 25 min. long. And I can do it in my home. Bret and I started before Christmas and have just started back up. He has said that it helps him have more energy and that he noticed that he was significantly happier and had a more positive attitude when we were working out. We try to do it 3 times a week, sometimes it ends up being 2. It takes SO much time out of the day to go somewhere else to work out so this is really nice, and it is short enough that it is doable. If you are interested we got it on Amazon.

I also believe that drinking water is a great help in energy levels. I may be sounding a little silly, but I try to think that eveytime I use the bathroom I drink another glass of water. It helps me get plenty of water if I do it that way.

I also think Llysine is a great vitamin to take. Usually I take it when I feel a canker or cold sore coming on, or when I have a cold. But when I am feeling worn down and I take it I think it helps bit. One guy in a health shop told me that it would be healthy to take one l-lysine a day. (another thing, I don't trust vitamins from walmart and like stores, I like to go to a health food store.)

Also, there are many cleanses out there. You've got to find a trustworthy one, but I tried a liver cleanse once and I thought it was pretty good. I think those would help with overall health which would in turn help with energy.

Good luck finding energy! It's SOOO hard sometimes, especially when you have kids in your life, and you have TONS!

Love,
Megan
